Weekend Weapons: Thomas Gold

The Munich-born, Berlin-based DJ/producer Thomas Gold has been crafting bombastic, hyper-detailed slices of club-ready progressive and electro house since 2006, but you’d be forgiven if you hadn’t heard the man’s name before he unleashed the absolute monster track, ” Sing2Me ” (a tune that had no problem ascending to the top spot on Beatport’s downloads chart) last month. Now, with an increasingly sought-after DJ set, and an impressive discography of originals and of big-time remixes (like this one for Sander Van Doorn and this one for Moguai ), Gold is set to continue having a great 2012, especially considering the recent release of his debut compilation/mix Axtone Presents Thomas Gold . Luckily, before the Berliner is whisked off on his insane list of summer dates, we managed to convince Gold to share his choices for Weekend Weapons. Aspiring progressive and electro house DJs are encouraged to get out their pen and paper (metaphorically speaking) because you’re going to want to take some notes on this one, trust us.
