The Munich-born, Berlin-based DJ/producer Thomas Gold has been crafting bombastic, hyper-detailed slices of club-ready progressive and electro house since 2006, but you’d be forgiven if you hadn’t heard the man’s name before he unleashed the absolute monster track, ” Sing2Me ” (a tune that had no problem ascending to the top spot on Beatport’s downloads chart) last month. Now, with an increasingly sought-after DJ set, and an impressive discography of originals and of big-time remixes (like this one for Sander Van Doorn and this one for Moguai ), Gold is set to continue having a great 2012, especially considering the recent release of his debut compilation/mix Axtone Presents Thomas Gold . Luckily, before the Berliner is whisked off on his insane list of summer dates, we managed to convince Gold to share his choices for Weekend Weapons.
